Task 3- Artist styling/ costume planning

I currently have two outfit variations in mind. The first is a short layered, mesh fishnet dress with a low V back and lace trim. It is dramatic and hints at flesh through the dress which is just enough provocativity while remaining subtle. I will pair this with the black Dr Martens. This look is inspired by Ellie Goulding in her Beating Heart video. The fishnet has been inspired by the fishnet of Banks' dress in her music video still below while the low back has been inspired by Banks' dress also.

The second outfit is much more dramatic and regal. While the first outfit will be present for most of the lip syncing, this will be present more for the narrative. It is a long black lace maxi dress with opaque banding. I will pair this with a small black bandeu and black high waisted pants to ensure no body parts are unvoluntarily shown. I feel this dress will look particularly effective in the water and woodland areas.
